As of early 2022, Casper was a public company. Eventually, an investment firm bought them out. Casper has never made a profit from mattress sales throughout their entire history, which is quite surprising given how high the margins are.
Also, Casper's policies aren't great. There is only a 100-night trial and a 10-year warranty with Casper. In the current mattress market, that simply won't do.
Therefore, we recommend avoiding brands like Casper since they tend to be overpriced, and instead looking for alternatives that are about the same or slightly cheaper in quality (certainly not in construction).
