Editor's Note
• Run-of-the-mill RV mattress brand. 3 primary models: Canyon, Aspen and Montana. Cheap polyfoam base in their lower model. Pocketed coils in their premium model. Decent mattresses for RV, but much better alternatives.
• You don't want to go cheap on an RV mattress. Traveling is difficult enough on the body. Need to pick a mattress that's built to last, breaths well in tight spaces, and promotes deep REM and overall sleep quality. Bouncy luxury innerspring hybrids are typically better for RV's vs. all memory foam or polyfoam mattresses that build moisture and trap heat pockets.
• Saatva Classic is an amazing alternative. Does an incredible job mimicking that ultra-premium feel you'd expect in true 5-star hotels - transported to your RV.
Here are several relevant and useful comments from buyers considering or have already purchased Wilderness Rv Mattress.
• User 1: "I ordered an RV mattress in April online, ONLY because they have a "Risk free *** night guarantee", Their website also states "Once proof of donation has been sent to us, you will receive a full refund. And someone in need will get a new mattress. Everyone wins!!" I tried out their mattress for over a month, and unfortunately my husband's back doesn't approve. We sadly cannot keep this mattress. I contacted more than 8 locations to donate the mattress to, and none of them are taking mattresses at this time due to ***** restrictions. After emailing the return department about this I was told to take it to a junk yard and have it destroyed. I have no way of taking this anywhere with the vehicle we own. So again, I'm left with no options to return it!!!! What good is a return policy if there is no way to return it???? I offered to list it online as free to someone in need, but that is not acceptable. I'm less than pleased with their advertising and feel stuck with a $*** charge!"
• User 2: "Demanding to show proof of charitable donation. ***** ******** restricts donations. Mattress site says "no questions asked, refund" Mattresses given to a needy friend with job loss related to ********. I have been accused of lying and attempting to rip them off. I am a licensed nurse, trying to help others. Purchased 7-23-20, caused severe back pain requiring medical intervention impacting my quality of life!"

COMFORT OVERVIEW
Comfort, feel and overall firmness for Wilderness Rv mattress is extremely subjective.
Firmness isn't the only factor to consider when you're mattress shopping.
Choosing the right bed starts with figuring out how your body responds to lying at different angles.
It's important to understand how a mattress relieves pain and distributes pressure on your sensitive points (neck, shoulder, upper back, lower back, arms, hips, legs), as well as how it feels for couples and sex.
COMFORT SUMMARY
Firmness is very subjective and greatly differs between two people. What's firm for you might be extremely soft for someone else.
Be cautious about reviews that make definitive claims about how you'll feel sleeping on a mattress.
Wilderness RV has 3 models. Canyon and Aspen are only available in one firmness. You can sleep in all three positions with this firmness. It's good for couples, too.
The Montana Hybrid comes in 3 comfort levels: plush, soft (pillow top) and firm. Plush is mostly for side sleepers, but their soft pillow top is also for side sleepers who sometimes sleep on their stomachs or backs. Think about firm if you mostly lay on your back and stomach (very little if ever on your sides).
EDGE SUPPORT
• Edge support is likely not good. Low retail price means materials they use to bolster their edges is either nonexistent or poor quality. We doubt the edges last more than 1-3 years with consistent use.
• Even for an RV mattress, we don't think you have to sacrifice edge support.
Note: If a mattress uses low-quality materials, it might feel supportive at first, but break down quickly.
Inadequate edge support means less sleep surface (which is not desirable, especially if you sleep with a partner).
SIDE SLEEPERS
• Your shoulders, hips and torso must evenly distribute support if you sleep on your side. Otherwise concentrated pressure causes long term nerve and pain-related issues.
• Side sleeping works on all 3 of Wilderness RV's models. Their Montana Hybrid offers a plush version, so this arguably more optimal for side sleeping. Otherwise you can expect your sensitive pressure points to be properly accommodated.
BACK/STOMACH SLEEPERS
• When you sleep on your back & stomach, your biggest concern should be finding a mattress that keeps your hips from sinking too far in. This knocks your spine out of alignment.
• Back and stomach sleeping should be fine on these mattresses (keep in mind 2 of their models are only available in 1 firmness). If you pick their Montana Hybrid, only consider their firm variant if you primarily sleep on your stomach or back.
Here are a few facts about Wilderness Rv mattress construction:
• Type - memory foam
• Design - pillow-top
• Bed in a Box? - yes
• Height - 10-11" (model dependant)

Their primary layers include:

Note: A taller and heavier mattress typically (but not always) indicate better quality.
Support refers to how long the W Hotel mattress lasts over a reasonable expectation of 7-10 years (average mattress lifespan).
Motion transfer refers to the amount of disturbance you'd experience from one side of the mattress to another. Motion transfer is important for couples, especially if your partner tosses & turns (most do).

MOTION TRANSFER
Motion transfer measures how much movement shifts from one side of the bed to the other. A mattress that isolates motion effectively is a smart choice if you and your partner move around during the night. Having less motion transfer means you'll get more REM sleep.
Effective movement transfer. Any ripples disappear fairly efficiently. If you're not a light sleeper (i.e. easy to wake up), you won't notice your partner's movement.
