Editor's Note
• High-end brand that's visually appealing. 2 main models (3rd is called Little Luuf for children and guest rooms). The Luuf bed, and the Luuf Simplicity. Noteably tall @ 13". Height provides a large canvas to place a solid construction & design with good quality materials. Fantastic for all sleep positions (perhaps a smidge softer than a typical medium-firm, which is about a 6.5/10) and overall solid value.
• Fairly bouncy. Sleeps a little warm. Not for heavy sleepers or individuals that sleep hot. Also not good for strict stomach sleepers (you'll need firmer support).
• Our favorite direct alternative worth considering is Saatva Classic. Saatva's innerspring hybrid mattress is a great alternative to Luuf, and it's built to last. Saatva has a top-notch 24/7 customer service (probably the best in the business) and friendly policies. Check Saatva Classic out, here.

COMFORT OVERVIEW
Comfort, feel and overall firmness for Luuf mattress is extremely subjective.
Firmness isn't the only factor to consider when you're mattress shopping.
Choosing the right bed starts with figuring out how your body responds to lying at different angles.
It's important to understand how a mattress relieves pain and distributes pressure on your sensitive points (neck, shoulder, upper back, lower back, arms, hips, legs), as well as how it feels for couples and sex.
COMFORT SUMMARY
Firmness is very subjective and greatly differs between two people. What's firm for you might be extremely soft for someone else.
Be cautious about reviews that make definitive claims about how you'll feel sleeping on a mattress.
Luuf has 2 models. Their flagship and 'Simplicity' line. Both come incomes in plush, luxury firm, firm and ultra firm.
Their plush is only suitable for light side sleepers. The luxury firm comfort level is for couples and combo-sleepers that sleep in all 3 positions. If you sleep on your side, stay away from their firm. It's for back and stomach sleepers. I wouldn't consider their ultra firm comfort level unless you're a heavy sleeper (>230 lbs) or know for a fact you enjoy a very firm mattress with extra support.
EDGE SUPPORT
• Luuf has great edge support.
• They use 968 individually wrapped coils (within 5 zones) with sturdy foam-encased edges around the entire mattress.
Note: If a mattress uses low-quality materials, it might feel supportive at first, but break down quickly.
Inadequate edge support means less sleep surface (which is not desirable, especially if you sleep with a partner).
SIDE SLEEPERS
• Your shoulders, hips and torso must evenly distribute support if you sleep on your side. Otherwise concentrated pressure causes long term nerve and pain-related issues.
• Side sleepers do best on the plush comfort level of Luuf. Their softest mattress does a good job relieving pressure & aligning your spine while still providing great overall support.
BACK/STOMACH SLEEPERS
• When you sleep on your back & stomach, your biggest concern should be finding a mattress that keeps your hips from sinking too far in. This knocks your spine out of alignment.
• We like how Luuf feels when sleeping on your back and stomach. It's pocketed coil layer provides plenty of contouring to your lumbar while the top foam works to position you squarely on the sleep surface.
Here are a few facts about Luuf mattress construction:
• Type - hybrid innerspring and memory foam
• Design - tight-top
• Bed in a Box? - yes
• Height - 13"
• Weight (Queen) - 100-150 lbs
Their primary layers include:
• Cover - 360-degree stretch
• Comfort Layer - gel foam
• Transition Layer - foam
• Support Layer - pocketed coils
• Other Notable Specs - none
Note: A taller and heavier mattress typically (but not always) indicate better quality.
Support refers to how long the W Hotel mattress lasts over a reasonable expectation of 7-10 years (average mattress lifespan).
Motion transfer refers to the amount of disturbance you'd experience from one side of the mattress to another. Motion transfer is important for couples, especially if your partner tosses & turns (most do).

MOTION TRANSFER
Motion transfer measures how much movement shifts from one side of the bed to the other. A mattress that isolates motion effectively is a smart choice if you and your partner move around during the night. Having less motion transfer means you'll get more REM sleep.
Luuf's motion transfer is adequate. You can expect mold transferance with movement (due to it's pocketed coils), but it disperses almost immediately. The end result is you may feel your partner's movement for a split second, but as long as you're not a light sleeper (that's easily disturbed), you'll be fine.
There are several noteworthy considerations with the Luuf return policy:

WARRANTY INFO
• has a 10 year limited warranty.
EXCHANGE INFO
• they accept one exchange per order if you would like to switch to another comfort.
•during exchange, your 100 night trial remains from the date your original order was received.
•to qualify for a return or exchange, a mattress must not be stained or damaged.
Look for warranties that have at least a 15-year period with no unreasonable limitations or transporation fees.
Also, find a brand with an exchange policy that doesn't have exorbitant fees in case you need to switch firmnesses.
